Pentingnya Edukasi Literasi Keuangan Sejak Dini Dengan Media Buku Tabungan
Abstract
Financial literacy is currently increasing compared to the previous year, which was 65.43% (2024), but this change only applies in urban areas, while in rural areas, it has not experienced significant changes, especially in elementary school children, where generally they have not maintained and understand well how to manage finances properly, only maintaining the meaning of the word saving, namely saving money. Therefore, education about financial literacy is needed for elementary school children so that they understand the concept of financial literacy itself, namely through Community Service (PKM) activities. This activity aims to increase the understanding of financial literacy for elementary school children so that they are able to manage finances well. In the activity, several stages were carried out, namely the first explaining the philosophy of saving, the second motivating children to save, the third explaining how to make savings data in the savings book, the fourth giving praise and understanding in using the savings well to children. The output produced in PKM activities is that children are able to manage their financial system well through the media of savings books, besides that they are also very enthusiastic in this activity
